New Years Resolution Check-In

New year’s resolutions, been a minute since you’ve thought about those, ‘eigh? Not me. My resolutions have been on my mind all of 2017, in fact, one of the resolutions was to stay consistent with my resolutions [check!]. I can honestly say that I have stuck to my guns and am on my way to successfully reaching all of my milestones I set for myself this year. Without further ado: my mid-year resolution check-in.

Resolution #1: Pay off two loans by 2018

This is one of the resolutions that I am most proud of thus far. As of this month, I have paid off one student loan and am two payments shy of reaching my goal of paying off a second.

Resolution #2: Read at least one book every month

This is the resolution that I have been the most excited about. So far, I have read a total of 20 books, and counting. During college and the few months after graduation I didn’t have many opportunities to, or didn’t take advantage of the time I had available to read for pleasure. (Post about my favorite books I have read this year coming soon!)

Resolution #3: Complete 10 independent projects

This resolution was created to encourage myself to keep churning out content in my area of study, whether it be posts for this blog, volunteer work, planning events, or freelance projects. This year I have completed  six independent projects. (More on those to come, too!)

Having resolutions and goals are great…

But only if you have a system in place where you can easily keep track of your progress. For me, I keep a list on my phone of the books I’ve read, all the projects I’ve completed, and which loans I am making payments on.

Have you kept up with your New Year’s resolutions? I’d love to hear about them. Post a comment below 🙂

Peace & Love
